Prolific Canadian songwriter (and producer, author and actor) Hawksley Workman gets deep in the noise11 studio.

Hawksley Workman has written scads of songs, produced artists like Tegan & Sara and The Cash Brothers, written a book of love letters to a mermaid, started his own label, and created a small but significant cult of personality.

Here he talks about the philosophy of songwriting, human nature, the elusive masterpiece, shame and zen, his persona post-major-labels, and so much more.
